Transport Looking for a transport method

The STIB is the public transport operator that manages the tram, bus and metro network in the 19 Brussels municipalities.

When you arrive in Brussels, free bus transport is organised from Brussels-Midi railway station to the registration centre at Palais 8 (Heysel). In the evening, shuttle buses will provide the transfer to the hotels and accommodation centres.

Free transport tickets can be obtained from the reception charities and organisations, Fedasil, the Belgian Immigration Office (Office des Etangers) and the Red Cross.

>The free tickets distributed by the Belgian Red Cross are intended for people who do not yet have the possibility to buy them (lack of information, lack of means, not yet registered, etc.) and who need them for a specific reason (to go to the Embassy of Ukraine, the doctor, the socio-legal support services, emergency accommodation, etc.). The Red Cross does not distribute tickets to people who want to visit the city.

When you are registered in a CPAS (public social service centre) in the Brussels-Capital Region, you are entitled to either a free season ticket and/or discounted season ticket depending on your status.
