🇪🇺 Update on Temporary Protection for Ukrainians.
1. Extension of Temporary Protectionю.
📅 Proposal & Approval The European Commission proposed extending temporary protection for Ukrainians until 4 March 2027. The Council of the EU approved this decision on 13 June 2025.

The Council of the EU outlined steps for transitioning away from temporary protection:
🔹 Transition to other residence statuses for those who wish to stay in the EU.
🔹 Encouraging voluntary return to Ukraine once it is safe.
🔹 Providing clear information about rights and opportunities after temporary protection ends.
🔹 Monitoring & coordination between EU countries and Ukraine to ensure a fair and predictable process.
3️. Conditions for Ending Temporary Protection.
