Are you hosting or planning to host Ukrainian families in Brussels, but you do not have enough information on the type of social assistance that beneficiaries of temporary protection can receive?

On 18 February from 14:00 to 16:00 the social services of the CIRÉ-FdSS project in the Brussels region - together with Caritas, SESO, Convivial - will hold an information session in Brussels for beneficiaries of temporary protection and host families.

Ukrainian Civil Society Hub invites you to the opening of the exhibition "Alarm Suitcase" by Ukrainian photographer Inna Shynkarenko.

Ukrainian Civil Society Hub invites you to the opening of the exhibition "Alarm Suitcase" by Ukrainian photographer Inna Shynkarenko".

When: 10 January 2023 at 17:00.
Venue: Ukrainian Civil Society Hub, Pl. du Luxembourg, 1050 Ixelles

About the project:
“When Russia attacked Ukraine on 24 February 2022,  every Ukrainian had to pack an “alarm suitcase”, the bag with the most necessary things that they would need in a basement. When bombs started  exploding near their houses, millions of people left their homes only with those packed alarm bags. Afterwards I noticed that those were the most necessary things which tell a lot about values, resources and identity of  people. Those important and weird things became a base for returning to themselves, they served as bricks for starting a new life outside of their ruined sweet  homes.  This  photo project represents a collected image of fundamental Ukrainian values – faith, family ties and relationships, education, professional identity, sport and even emotional hobbies – the usual values for any person. This project is about ordinary people and the values-bricks from which they were forced to collect their lives from the beginning. Material memory is stronger than mental memory, so memories and stories are still formed around these things, which can be read in the feedback from participants.”

About the author:
Inna Shynkarenko has been a photographer since 2006. Psychotherapist since 2017.
Born in 1981 in Khmelnytskyi, lived in Lviv, Ukraine, and in Belgium since March 2022.

Український Хаб громадянського суспільства запрошує на відкриття виставки «Тривожна Валізка» української фотографині Інни Шинкаренко.

Коли: 10 січня 2023 о 17:00
Місце проведення: Український хаб громадянського суспільства, Pl. du Luxembourg, 1050 Ixelles

Visual show - 2 X 20 free tickets for a theatre performance at the Théâtre de la vie in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode

Visual show

"An almost classic clown duo creates hilarious situations and misunderstandings"
A girl, a boy, two tables, a sheet of paper. Around a simple set come to life two different beings made of impulses, pleasures, zaniness and moods. They will tune in and out of each other's lives around their essentials: my space, my desire, my need. Our space, our desires, our needs. They will provoke laughter and therefore emotion in the child who gradually discovers what it is to be and do with the other.
This writing revolves around otherness, its joys and its questions. The child finds school situations or friendships developed with absurdity, tenderness and impertinence... so that the pleasure is great...

Destroyed schools, houses and burned banners... every hero has his/her own dramatic story.
The project aims at drawing attention of civil society, politicians and mass media to issues facing Ukrainian children residing in the line of fire, the children without childhood, whose rights are violated every day and showing truth about the humanitarian catastrophe, caused with the military aggression on Ukraine.
