Meeting with the author of children’s books
We invite you to a fascinating presentation of a children’s book by the famous author Solo Niare, which will take place on 20 April at 11:00 in the community centre.
Solo Niare is not only a writer, but also a journalist who was born in Guinea and is fascinated by history. In his works, he tells little-known stories and invites us on a fascinating journey through the great figures of the African continent.
Solo Niare’s children’s books are not just entertainment, but an invitation to a journey across the savannah, where every page is filled with adventure and life lessons.
Solo is also actively involved in social activism, promoting access to culture in rural areas by creating village libraries and fighting against female genital mutilation. He regularly addresses these issues on his digital platforms: his blog and social media.

Gezondheid Social Health Orientation Center (SHOC)
Uitnodiging voor het Sociaal Gezondheidsoriëntatiecentrum (SHOC).
Het Sociaal Gezondheidsoriëntatiecentrum (SHOC) is een programma voor zorg, coördinatie en oriëntatie voor begunstigden van tijdelijke bescherming die zijn gered uit de oorlog in Oekraïne en tijdelijk verblijven in het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest.
Het Sociaal Gezondheidsoriëntatiecentrum (SHOC) biedt ondersteuning en coördineert acties op de volgende gebieden:
- Het vinden en benoemen van een huisarts op basis van de woonplaats,
- Het plannen van afspraken met gespecialiseerde specialisten met een smal profiel,
- Ondersteuning en bijstand van mobiele teams op het gebied van vertalingen, sociale bescherming en geestelijke gezondheid,
- Oriëntatie naar partnerorganisaties die culturele en sociale ondersteuning bieden,
- Toegang tot waardevolle informatie over medische en/of psychologische hulp beschikbaar in het Brussels Gewest,
- Het vergemakkelijken van toegang tot sociale bijstand,
- Bescherming van slachtoffers van familie- en seksueel geweld,
- Eerste gezondheidscontrole,
- Medisch consult met een therapeut in crisissituaties.

Beste Oekraïners en vrienden van de gemeenschap van het centrum,
We hebben het genoegen u uit te nodigen in het nieuwe Ukrainian Voices RC gemeenschapscentrum, gelegen aan de Wetstraat 89, 1040 Brussel.
We hebben een ruimte gecreëerd waar iedereen zijn cultuur, ervaring en kennis kan delen en veel nuttige en belangrijke informatie krijgen over België en zijn :
🔸 huurwoningen;
🔹 onderwijssysteem;
🔸 gezondheidszorg;
🔹 sociale verzekering;
🔸Vind antwoorden op vragen over hoe je een baan vindt en een bedrijf start;
🔹 Ondersteuning krijgen voor geestelijke gezondheid.

Verlenging van tijdelijke bescherming tot 4 maart 2025

Na het besluit van de Raad van de Europese Unie van 19 oktober 2023 is de tijdelijke bescherming verlengd tot en met 4 maart 2025 voor personen die ontheemd zijn als gevolg van het conflict in Oekraïne.
U kan zich hiervoor vanaf 4 januari 2024 aanbieden bij de gemeente om de vernieuwing aan te vragen. Deze nieuwe A kaart zal geldig zijn tot en met 4 maart 2025. Indien de nieuwe A kaart niet voor 4 maart 2024 kan worden afgeleverd, wordt een bijlage 15 opgemaakt.
Indien u na 4 januari 2024 een attest tijdelijke bescherming krijgt, zal een A kaart afgeleverd worden die geldig is tot 4 maart 2025.

CAMERATA BRIMA TRIO - charity concert
Brussels International Academy of Music (BRIMA), with the support of the Ukrainian Embassy in the Kingdom of Belgium and the municipal administration of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, invites you to a charity concert in support of the first mobile hospital in Ukraine.

18:30-19:00 : sale of traditional jewellery made by craftsmen from western Ukraine and Poland.
19:00-20:30 "CAMERATA BRIMA TRIO & SOLOISTS": charity concert with screening of a short film.
20:30-21:30 bar opening & sale of traditional jewellery
All proceeds from the evening will go towards funding the first mobile hospital in Ukraine.
On stage, CAMERATA BRIMA TRIO and soloists.
The line-up will include Ukrainian classical, European and folk music.
Admission is free; you can also choose to pay whatever you wish. All proceeds will go to the mobile hospital, and the reception afterwards will be free of charge.
Reservations are required.
We hope to see many of you there!

Sport - Games Of Heroes

Ukrainian Armed Forces veterans will participate in the «Games of Heroes» international competition co-organized by Promote Ukraine and NATO.
Veterans with severe injuries and active military personnel from various NATO countries and Ukraine will meet on the sports field.
They will demonstrate their skills in three categories of functional fitness: strength, endurance, and speed.
Come to see Ukrainian culture of never giving up.
