Chess event “Excellent minds together in Europe” on 29 September 2022, at 14.15, at the Ukrainian Civil Society Hub
We are delighted to invite you to a chess event “Excellent minds together in Europe” on 29 September 2022, at 14.15, at the Ukrainian Civil Society Hub (Station Europe building, Place du Luxembourg, 1050).
For the 50th anniversary of the EU Institutions’ Chess Club (Europchess), the famous Ukrainian chess players Anna and Mariya Muzychuk (Gold at 2022 Chess Olympiad) will give a public exhibition against 30 opponents.
They will also receive an award from the Emanuel Lasker Gesellschaft.

Psychological support session for people hosting Ukrainian refugees
Are you hosting (or planning to host) Ukrainian refugees in Brussels and need to talk about it and get support? Then attend our psychological support session for people hosting Ukrainian refugees and beneficiaries of temporary protection from Ukraine.
A time to listen and hear each other:
- How to take care of the refugees and yourself?
- How to deal with emotions?
- How can you take care of yourself so as not to exhaust your empathy batteries?
- Share your experiences
With a presentation by an expert psychologist on the problems faced by migrant populations and the presence of mental health counselling professionals.

Charity evening - Saint Anne's church - Auderghem
We are pleased to announce that on Wednesday 3 August 2022 at 6.30 p.m. there will be a Music and Poetry evening, organised by the Ukrainian Civil Society Hub, in aid of Ukrainian children in Belgium.
Two Ukrainian musicians have put together a special programme in collaboration with a Belgian poetess. They are ready to delight you with their piano and violin duet, accompanied by poems in French. After the concert, we will have the pleasure to offer you some small delicacies.
Admission is free, but all donations are welcome. The funds raised will be used to finance the purchase and import of Ukrainian school books to help children welcomed in Belgium to continue their studies in their native language.

Op zoek naar sessies tutoraat in het Frans voor mijn kinderen in de maand augustus 2022
De vzw Schola ULB organiseert sessies tutoraat in het Frans voor kinderen uit Oekraïne, die een tijdelijke bescherming genieten en ingeschreven zijn in het nationaal register van 1 van de 19 gemeenten van het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest. De sessies tutoraat hebben als doel de kinderen te helpen in het verwerven van het Frans en hen te familiariseren met de school.
De sessies tutoraat in het Frans worden door studenten gegeven die gevormd zijn in het taalonderwijs en in de schoolse ondersteuning. De sessies zijn gratis.
Voor wie? 8-12 jaar; 13-16 jaar
Wanneer? Van 22/08/22 tot 26/08/22, van 09u00 tot 11u (groep 1) en van 11u15 tot 16u15 (groep 2).

Carol of the Bells - Ukraine Charity Aid Marathon
Dear friends, the Ukrainian Civil Society Hub invites you to the screening of the film Shchedryk by the Ukrainian director Olesya Morgunets-Isayenko.
The film screening is part of the World Charity Film Marathon in support of Ukraine / CinemAid Ukraine Charity Film Marathon. The funds that will be collected will be transferred to support the film industry of Ukraine during the war.
The screening will take place on July 29 at 18:50 at Cinéma Aventure (Rue des Fripiers 15, 1000 Bruxelles)
